This tutorial builds on the basics and introduces more advanced customization options for your audiobook. If you haven’t already read the Audiobook Basics tutorial, we recommend doing so before proceeding.
Step 1: Using Multiple Speakers
In the basic tutorial, you learned how to generate an audiobook with a single speaker voice. Now, we’ll take it further by incorporating multiple speaker voices into your audiobook. This feature allows for more dynamic and engaging narration.
Adding a New Speaker
Start by adding a new speaker to your project.
For this example, we’ll select a male voice.
Assigning Text to a Speaker
To assign specific parts of the text to different speakers:
Click on the text you want to change.
Click on the current speaker’s name (e.g., Jenny).
A new menu will open, displaying all available speakers.
Select the desired speaker for that section.
Example Setup
For this tutorial, we’ll assign:
The 'Guy' male voice to read all the headlines.
Jenny's voice to narrate the paragraphs.
This creates a natural division between sections and enhances the listening experience.
Step 2: Generating the Audiobook
After assigning the voices, generate the audiobook by clicking the 'Publish Audiobook' button.
You’ll receive an email once the audiobook is ready.
Step 3: Preview the Result
Once you receive the email, preview your audiobook to ensure the multiple voices work as intended. Here’s an example of the final result:
By using multiple speakers, you can bring your audiobook to life with more variety and depth, making it more engaging for your audience. Experiment with different voices to find the perfect combination for your project!
