How to Clear the Browser's Cache

In this tutorial we are going to learn how to clear the cache for different browsers.

1. Chrome

Click on the three dot menu icon in the top right hand corner of the Chrome browser and then click on Settings.

In the 'Privacy and security section' select 'Clear browsing data'


​If you don't want to clear all data, make sure that at least 'Cached images and files' is selected, then click on the blue button - 'Clear Data'.

Close the Settings Menu Tab and make sure to press the F5 key on your keyboard on a PC or a Mac, press on hold the Command and "R" keys to refresh your screen. 

2. Safari

  • Click Safari in the upper left hand side of your screen. In the menu that appears, click Preferences.

  • Click the Advanced tab and check the box next to Show Develop menu in menu bar.

  • From the menu bar, select Develop -> Empty Caches.

 Then reload the dashboard and open the project.

3. FireFox

Click on the three line menu icon in the top right hand corner of the Firefox browser and then click on 'Settings'.

Go to the 'Privacy & Security' section and click on 'Clear History'.


​From the Time range to clear drop-down menu, select the desired range; to clear your entire cache,

Select at least the 'Cache' tick box and click on 'Clear Now'

Finally refresh your browser again with the F5 key.
