We are excited to announce the release of our newest Cover Creator. This powerful tool allows you to design professional-quality covers for both ebooks and print books, ready for submission to Kindle and Amazon KDP. Whether you are publishing your first book or updating an existing title, the Cover Creator is designed to make the process easy, fast, and accessible. No design experience is required.

Cover Creator Overview

With the new Cover Creator, you can quickly create professional-quality covers for both your ebooks and print books. Follow the visual workflow below to make sure your covers are correctly sized and print-ready based on Amazon's guidelines.

The tool supports Kindle, paperback, and hardcover formats and automatically applies the correct dimensions and layout based on your book’s specifications.

Where to Find the Cover Creator

You can open the Cover Creator from:

1 - A project’s context menu - Select Create Print or Kindle Cover

2 - Side note: You can view existing covers by going to Projects → Covers tab section. You can also launch the tool from there by clicking the 'Create' button.

Creating a Cover

When starting a new cover from the Project area, choose one of the following options:

Create From Scratch

Use this option if:

  • Your book was created outside the platform

  • You need to manually define trim size, page count, and other details

All required information is entered manually before the cover is generated.

Use Existing Book

Use this option for books created within the platform.

  • The system automatically detects page count and book size

  • The cover is generated with matching dimensions

  • This is the fastest and most accurate workflow

Supported Cover Types

You can create covers for:

  • Kindle (ebook)

  • Paperback

  • Hardcover

Important Notes

  • Paperback & Hardcover covers require a minimum of 75 pages

  • All covers are generated according to Amazon KDP specifications

Editing & Customization

Once the cover is created, you can:

  • Edit existing text elements

  • Add new text elements

  • Adjust font size, padding, alignment, and text shadows

  • Change background colors

  • Customize the spine (when spine width allows)

Changes are saved automatically as you work.

Preview & Export

The Cover Creator includes:

  • 3D previews for paperback and hardcover formats

  • Visual guidelines showing safe areas, bleed, and trim lines

When finished:

  • Click Finish

  • Export your cover as a PDF

  • Upload the file directly to Amazon KDP

The same process applies to both print and Kindle covers.
