2. How to Create a Course with Loquy

You can start a course by typing your own course idea, using existing content such as a book, Google Doc, or website, or letting Loquy suggest an idea from one of the available topic categories.

In this example, we are going to use an existing eBook created with Designrr as the source for a new Loquy course. This allows you to repurpose your eBook into a course and create a higher-value offer.

You can use the eBook and course together in several ways. For example, you can sell them as a bundle, offer the course as an upsell, include the eBook as a bonus with the course, use the course as a premium version of the eBook, or create a complete learning package around the same content.

Use a finished or near-finished ebook as the source. The cleaner the ebook structure is, the easier it will be to review the generated course.

Open Loquy, start a new course, and choose the upload option. Select the ebook file from your computer.

Loquy will analyze the uploaded ebook and create a course outline from the content.

Loquy uses your imported content to create a course outline. The chapters from your eBook become course modules, and the sections become lessons.

Review the outline before continuing. You can untick any chapter or section you do not want to include in the course.

Once the outline looks correct, click Confirm outline.

After the outline is confirmed, Loquy shows the next available options for the course.

At this stage, the course has not been fully generated yet. Click Open Course builder to continue.

Note: You may also see the Course page option on this screen. The course page is set up later, after at least one lesson has been rendered.

The first time you open the course builder, Loquy displays a short walkthrough explaining the main areas of the course builder.

Read the walkthrough and click Next to continue through the steps. You can also click Skip if you want to close it.

After the walkthrough is closed, you will see the main course builder screen.

From here, you can see the course structure, including the modules and lessons created from your eBook. You can also see the course settings, such as presenter and voice-over options, and the next recommended action.
