IMPORTANT: All the pages in the PDF must be the same size, including the cover page.

1. Create a New Project

Start by clicking on the '+ Create' button. Select the 'Import From PDF' option.

2. Import the PDF File

From the dropdown select 'Upload File/Select Link' >> 'Import from PDF'.

To import your PDF either navigate to the file on your computer or copy and paste the PDF link. Give your ebook a title and add your footer text. Then click 'Next'.

Note: The PDF link can be a Dropbox or Google Drive share link. (Make sure the permissions are made public)

Once the PDF has been uploaded, click on 'Apply.

At this point, you will be presented with two options:

  1. 'Create Flipbook'

  2. 'Go to the editor'

3. 'Create Flipbook'

For most cases, if you simply want to have your PDF in flipbook format choose option one, 'Create Flipbook'. Specially if you are importing catalogs, complex PDFs, magazines etc. or to keep the integrity of the PDF.

The flipbook is created from the PDF file as a source, is a 1 to 1 mirror of your PDF.

Other than that, after a few seconds, your flipbook is ready!

After the flipbook is generated, you will see a pop up window confirming that the Flipbook is ready. You can copy the flipbook link or click on 'Open Flipbook' to see the flipbook.

TIP: flipbooks generated using this import option - PDF to Flipbook - are stored in the 'Projects' section under Flipbooks. From there you can also retrieve the flipbook link and customize the flipbook.

4. 'Go to the editor'

Use this option if you are importing a simple PDF file like a simple text PDF or if you want to change the look and feel of the imported PDF. You will be sent to the template section and after you pick a template the project will be created.

At this point your PDF import has also been saved in the Docs section as a regular import.

All the text and images included in the imported PDF will be there and all these resources will be added to the newly created project.

Clean up the project, save it and publish it as Flipbook.

5. Customize the Flipbook

You can add an image background or color.

If your flipbook is written in Arabic or Hebrew, you can also change the way the flipbook opens by switching the RTL toggle button.

6 . Flipbook Projects

All flipbooks generated using the PDF to Flipbook import option are stored in the 'Projects' section under Flipbooks. From there you can also retrieve the flipbook link and customize the flipbook.

If you click on the flipbook cover, it will open in a new Tab/Window. If you just want the flipbook URL, you can copy it from the browser toolbar and share.

It should look similar to this:

7. Generate The Flipbook Embed Code Automatically

Click on the three dots to open the menu and and click on 'Generate Flipbook Embed Code'.

A popup window will open and there you can find the embedding code that can be used to easily place the flipbook on your website. There is no need to change the default width and height values.

You simply need to click on the blue button, 'Copy', and the embed code is automatically copied to your computer's clipboard. Now you can paste the code on an empty page or any other page on your website.

The default values are fine for most users, but notice that you can resize the flipbook and disable the option to share the flipbook and download the PDF.

8. Disable Sharing and Download

Before you share you flipbook you have to decide if you want to let your readers share the flipbook or download the PDF used to generate the PDF.

In case that you want to disable those options, go to the Account Settings section and toggle the button to 'Disable Sharing & Download'. Once activated, those options will be removed from your flipbook toolbar.

9. Sharing Your Flipbook On Your Website Or Social Media page

In previous steps, you generated and copied the flipbook URL (tip: paste it on a text file), you will end up with. and ended up with a similar link: https://designrr.page/?id=95721&token=1908842099&type=FP&h=4388

To share your flipbook on your social media accounts, paste that link on the post box...

and publish.

If you want to share your ebook on your website or blog, embed the flipbook link in a HTML code like the example below and paste it on your site (hint: use a sidebar text widget)
โ€‹
โ€‹<a href="https://book.designrr.co/?id=15044&token=2695082348">MyAwesome Book!</a>

Tip: WordPress users can use a free plugin like Pretty Link and share that link instead.
